We hope you’ll join us. I’ll be giving away three Adobe PDFs of my eNovella Waiting for Lily Bloom. Here’s the storyline:

WaitingForLilyBloom_w11738_1K.225x225-75James Bloom has prayed three years for rain and five years for a wife. His dreams are demolished on Palm Sunday, 1935, when a catastrophic dust storm hits Oklahoma, and his neighbor’s niece has to ride out the storm at his house–-overnight. The next day he’s forced to marry her, an East coast city girl who can’t speak. Could this be God’s plan?

Condemned to marry to a stranger in the dusty Oklahoma wasteland, Lily Driggers longs for her home. Yet somehow her new husband is the only one who understands her silence.

As Easter approaches, Lily and James wonder if there is hope after the storm.

Joan Leotta’s book, Secrets of the Heart (Desert Breeze Publishers) is a novella, Part Four of a series called Legacy of Honor that deals with strong Italian-American women in time of war–WW2, Korean, Vietnam, and Desert Storm. Here’s the plot:

SecretsoftheHeartCoverArtPart One of the book takes readers to January, 1865. Two Union soldiers set out on a reconnaissance mission just before the battle of Fort Fisher, North Carolina. Rinaldo DeBartolo wants to finish the mission and to return to Italy and his sweetheart, Emilia. When he and his partner, Walter, discover  hidden gold, a trail of secrets begins.

That trail winds through the Italian unification, two world wars, and a tangle of immigration to reach into Rome Italy in the 1990s at the time of Desert Storm. In a wonderful Roman spring, the descendents of the American De Bartolo family meet Rinaldo’s descendents at a delightful and delicious Easter dinner. Kathy Ann, the youngest of the clan, is working a gap year as a journalist intern. Kathy Ann’s writing endeavors and the family reunion become complicated by romance, stolen art,  and the discovery that not all secrets–even family secrets–are good ones.

You can find Joan’s book here. It’s available in both electronic and print versions. To find out more about Joan, visit her at her website or on Facebook.

Meet the other authors at our Facebook party!

O Holy Night

One of my favorite Christmas carol’s of all time is O Come, All Ye Faithful. Worshiping our Savior with lyrics and songs of exultation, adoration and joy, what an honor! O Holy Night is also a favorite, and David Phelps is able to capture the Divine-ness of that night with music and song like none other. Be blessed.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
