New Year Resolutions

04 Jan

Can you believe we are four days into the New Year already? Are you the type of person who sets resolutions for the New Year? I wouldn’t say I make ‘resolutions’, but I do enjoy thinking/praying about the upcoming year and what God has in store for me.

There are things I want to do-like organize the house and downsize a bit, set up an office for my writing, lose ten more pounds, write :), and I’m sure there’s much more if I think about it for an extended period of time.

One thing I do as one year is ending and another is approaching is to pray about what one word (or sometimes two) that God wants me to focus on for the new year. For 2017 I feel like there are two areas God desires for me to learn more about-hope and discipline. I’ll be sharing about the things God shows me throughout this year. I’m excited to see what He has in store.

Do you have a word for 2017?

I’m still praying about a word for the year. Not sure God will give me one this year. I don’t make resolutions, but I do set goals. That’s something I intend to do in the next week or two. (Going on vacation between Christmas and New Year has really set me back!)

I’m not a resolution maker either. My goals are generally pretty simple. I like simple.

Same as last year. Try to be more faithful to love God and people.
