It’s Official

me-contractTwo weeks ago I signed my first contract with a traditional publisher. It came as a complete surprise. I love when God brings something about in a way I least expect it. He often has a tendency to do that in my life.

I had been working with the owner of Celebrate Lit for a blog tour she’s helping me with for next month. It’s for my second book in a series that I have independently published. The owner has also expanded into being a publisher as well. I received an email asking if I’d be interested in writing a novella as part of a collection with two other authors. After much prayer, discussing it with my husband and agent, I agreed. Next thing I knew, I had a contract emailed me. How cool is that? 🙂

The next couple months I’ll be busy working on this new writing project. It is due back to the publisher in early January. Ideas are already beginning to whirl and take form. I look forward to getting them down on paper.

What are you looking forward to doing? What exciting things have been happening in your life?
