In the last year we’ve downsized our hobby farm. Life, and nature, made the process a little difficult. Though we’re in the process of rebuilding, we’ve kept the basic farm animals around–our beloved dog and barn cats.
I’m a cat person. My husband is not. But he loves me, so he humors me. The cats earn their keep, and I enjoy their company. And kittens? Well, other than a newborn baby, there’s nothing cuter. I love watching the tiny fur balls chase each other as they play and learn their natural instincts, fall face-first into the food pan as they start to eat kitten food, walk sideways when they’re scared, and fall over in exhaustion after a long stretch of hard playing.
For me, it’s a fun as watching a child take their first steps or laugh uncontrollably at something that strikes them as funny. Admit it, you can’t watch a video where a baby is laughing and not laugh. And you probably can’t watch a video or see a picture of a kitten without at least thinking, “Aww.”
I mean look at these two. Are they adorable?
