Mother’s Day

09 May

downloadI had the best time celebrating my wonderful mother yesterday. My siblings and I had a pitch-in at Mom and Dad’s house. We played games, laughed a lot, and some family members shared news like engagements and pregnancies. We’re not a perfect family, but we sure have fun together.

And no matter where I go or what I do in this life, these guys are my download (1)greatest adventure.

How did you celebrate yesterday?

It great to see your happy faces! My mom and mother-in-law both left us many years ago. My son lives far away, so I didn’t get to see him this weekend, but will visit him in a couple of weeks. Hubby took me – and the dog! – to dinner at our favorite fish place in Mackinaw City, MI, and then we spent the afternoon touring colonial Fort Michilimackinac. It was a great day!

I love your pictures, Candice. Glad you had a good day.

I was privileged to entertain my mother, my father, and my step-mom yesterday. Ed cooked steaks, Dad picked up a delicious salad from Olive Garden, and I was in charge of baking the potatoes. I also whipped up this delicious trifle with peanut butter and brownies and Reese’s PB cups. Oh, it was heavenly. We had a great afternoon.

What a precious family, Candice! I went to church yesterday morning and evening, and did nothing in between but take an hour nap. My hubby even washed the dishes 🙂 It was a beautiful day!
