Here Comes the Sun

In my last post, Eye of the StormI talked about a devastating personal storm that shook our family and how God was carrying us through. A few days after the post published, a burst of sunshine broke through the dark clouds–I received a contract for my debut novel How to Charm a Beekeeper’s Heart. I began this story in 2012 to enter in the ACFW First Impressions Contest, where it became a finalist. In 2014, while still struggling to get the wonderful yet flawed hero “just right,” the story won Seekerville’s Pitch Perfect Contest. After what feels like a hundred drafts and a few rejections later, I’m beyond thrilled to see this story go to print (and e-book). Though the book’s release date is still tentative, I couldn’t resist giving you all a sneak peek.

How to Charm a Beekeeper’s Heart takes place in the fictional town of Summerville, Maine, Mount Desert Island.

Instead, a life-threatening injury sidelines Huck, and Arianne turns his plans upside-down. Now the key to the building isn’t the only thing Huck wants back.

This contemporary romance also includes a precocious four-year-old girl who will steal your heart, insight into the world of beekeeping, and plenty of nostalgia. Look for How to Charm a Beekeeper’s Heart, coming soon!
