As a writer, I love creating my characters. They’re formed in my mind long before I put them down on paper or screen, but when I do, they take on new color and dimension. Hair and eye color. Personality traits. Goals and ambitions. Each detail is carefully and lovingly thought out.
How much greater is God’s handiwork in the way He creates each one of us. Psalm 139: 14 tells us that we are fearfully and wonderfully made. Luke 12: 7 tells us that the very hairs on our head are numbered. God created each detail with loving care, and He loved us before we were even born. Every time I create a new character, I get excited all over again. How wonderful to think God feels the same about each new life He forms.
